A compact serif with tall proportions, narrow letterforms, and fine, tapered strokes. Serifs are small and crisp with subtle bracketing, giving terminals a sharp, engraved finish without looking slabby. Curves are controlled and slightly pinched in places, while verticals dominate the rhythm; counters stay relatively tight, reinforcing the condensed texture. The lowercase shows a two-storey “a” and “g”, a narrow “m”, and a slim “t”, all contributing to an even, column-like color in text.

Well suited to editorial layouts where space is limited, such as magazine columns, book interiors with narrow measures, and dense information settings like captions or sidebars. The tall, refined capitals also make it effective for restrained headlines, deck lines, and pull quotes that need a classic, polished voice without heavy weight.

The overall tone feels literary and editorial—quietly formal, precise, and a bit old-world. Its narrow stance and sharp details add a sense of sophistication and restraint, suited to serious or cultured messaging rather than casual or playful voice.

The design appears intended to provide a traditional text-seriffed reading experience in a more space-efficient, vertically oriented form. Its fine serifs, controlled contrast, and compact proportions point to an aim of delivering elegance and clarity for editorial typography while maintaining a consistent, disciplined texture across mixed case and numerals.

In the sample text, the face holds a clean baseline and steady cadence, producing a distinctly vertical, newspaper-like texture. The numerals and capitals read as elegant and slightly dramatic at display sizes, while the tighter spacing and slim forms suggest careful typesetting is beneficial in longer runs.
