A narrow, high-contrast serif with strongly tapered stems and sharp, flared serifs that often end in small wedge- or spike-like terminals. The letterforms show pronounced modulation and a slightly calligraphic, drawn quality: strokes swell and thin quickly, curves are tight, and junctions can feel pinched, giving the face a lively, irregular rhythm despite consistent overall construction. Uppercase forms are tall and assertive, while the lowercase keeps a compact body with distinctive, sometimes hooky terminals (notably in letters like j, y, and g). Numerals follow the same contrast and tapering, with elegant, old-style-like curvature and delicate finishing strokes.

Best suited to display applications such as headlines, book and album covers, poster typography, and brand marks that want a vintage-editorial feel with dramatic contrast. It can also work for short pull quotes or section openers where a distinctive serif texture is desired, but the hairlines and sharp terminals will generally favor larger sizes and good reproduction.

The font reads as theatrical and old-world, mixing bookish refinement with a faintly eccentric edge. Its sharp terminals and spirited modulation add drama and personality, suggesting antique print, folklore, or darkly whimsical editorial tone rather than neutral text setting.

The design appears intended to reinterpret a traditional serif through exaggerated contrast, tapered strokes, and expressive terminals, producing an antique, attention-grabbing texture. Its construction prioritizes character and atmosphere over neutrality, aiming for a recognizable voice in titling and identity contexts.

Across both the grid and the text sample, spacing appears relatively tight for such high contrast, reinforcing a crisp, vertical texture. The distinctive, flared serifs and occasional ink-trap-like pinches at joins make the face most visually memorable at display sizes, where the stroke choreography and terminals can be appreciated without thinning out.
