This serif design shows a calligraphic, old-style construction with pronounced thick–thin contrast and crisp, tapered terminals. Serifs are finely bracketed and often wedge-like, with strokes that swell and thin as if drawn with a flexible nib. Proportions run on the condensed side with a modest x-height, giving lowercase a compact, elegant rhythm, while capitals stand tall with relatively narrow set widths and slightly flared joins. Numerals follow the same high-contrast logic, with light hairlines and sculpted curves that read cleanly at display sizes.

It suits editorial typography where a traditional, high-contrast serif is desired—book and magazine settings, headlines, pull quotes, and elegant titling. The narrow proportions make it useful when space is limited, and it can also support premium branding and formal printed pieces such as invitations when set at comfortable sizes.

The overall tone is classic and literary, with a poised, slightly formal voice that still feels human and hand-influenced. Its sharp hairlines and slender silhouettes add refinement, while the warm, slightly irregular calligraphic modulation keeps it from feeling mechanical.

The design appears intended to blend classical old-style warmth with a more polished, high-contrast finish, providing an expressive yet disciplined serif for refined reading and display work. Its condensed stance and short x-height suggest an emphasis on elegance and verticality over maximum small-size robustness.

The face favors vertical stress and smooth, continuous curves, especially visible in C/G/S and the rounded bowls. Diacritics and punctuation appear restrained and minimal, supporting an uncluttered texture in running text; the most distinctive character comes from the tapered terminals and the lively stroke modulation.
