A heavy slab-serif design with compact, squared-off serifs and sturdy vertical stems. The letterforms feel woodtype-inspired, with broad, confident strokes and clear, assertive silhouettes. A consistent worn texture is cut into the counters and along strokes, creating speckling, nicks, and slight breakups that mimic aged ink or rough printing while keeping the overall shapes readable. Numerals and capitals are particularly blocky and poster-forward, with a straightforward, no-italic stance and a strong baseline presence.

Best suited for posters, headlines, and short blocks of display text where the distressed texture can be appreciated. It works well on packaging, labels, event graphics, and signage that aim for a vintage or handcrafted print feel. For smaller sizes or long-form reading, the internal wear may reduce clarity compared to a clean slab serif.

The font conveys a tough, timeworn character—like ink pressed onto coarse paper or a weathered sign repainted many times. Its texture adds grit and history, suggesting craft, Americana, and utilitarian authenticity rather than sleek precision.

The design appears intended to deliver a classic slab-serif/woodtype voice while adding a controlled layer of erosion to simulate age, rough stock, and imperfect presswork. It balances bold, dependable structure with a deliberately weathered surface to create instant atmosphere in display typography.

The distressing is integrated as internal erosion and scattered chips rather than extreme outline deformation, so the forms remain legible at display sizes while still reading as intentionally imperfect. The texture density appears fairly uniform across glyphs, helping long lines of text retain a cohesive, printed look.
