A very heavy serif with sharply tapered thick–thin modulation and strong, bracketed serifs. Curves are generously rounded and slightly swollen at joins, while terminals often finish in small ball/teardrop forms that add a carved, sculptural feel. The capitals are broad and stately, with a pronounced diagonal stress in rounded forms; the lowercase shows compact counters and confident, weighty stems. Figures are similarly robust, with high-contrast shapes and prominent serifs that keep them visually aligned with the text.

Best suited to headlines, deck copy, and other prominent text where its contrast and sculpted serif details can read clearly. It also fits editorial branding, book or magazine covers, and premium packaging where a traditional serif voice with extra weight and drama is desired.

The overall tone is boldly traditional and authoritative, with a dramatic, old-world refinement that reads as premium and serious. Its strong contrast and embellished terminals give it a slightly theatrical, headline-forward voice while remaining rooted in classic book-type conventions.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional serif reading of classic forms while pushing weight and contrast for impact. It balances traditional proportions with expressive terminal detailing to create a strong, recognizable texture in display and short-to-medium text settings.

The letterforms favor stability and presence over delicacy: bowls are full, apertures are relatively tight, and internal whitespace can close up at smaller sizes. In display settings the distinctive terminals and contrast become a defining texture, especially across long lines of bold text.
