A calligraphic serif with lively, slightly irregular contours and pronounced thick–thin modulation. Serifs are bracketed and often flare into sharp, wedge-like terminals, giving strokes a carved/inked look rather than a purely mechanical finish. The face runs with generous horizontal proportions and open counters, while joins and curves show subtle notch-like “ink-trap” details that add texture at display sizes. Lowercase proportions keep the x-height modest relative to ascenders, producing an airy rhythm and a distinctly classical text-color.

Well-suited to editorial typography, book titles, pull quotes, and other applications where a historical or literary voice is desirable. The wide stance and energetic detailing also make it effective for posters, packaging, and logo-style wordmarks that benefit from a handcrafted, vintage-leaning serif.

The overall tone feels old-world and bookish, with a rustic, hand-inked energy. Its sharp terminals and dramatic contrast lend a slightly theatrical, storybook character that reads as historical and expressive rather than minimalist or corporate.

The design appears intended to reinterpret old-style, calligraphy-influenced serif forms with added edge and texture—balancing classic proportions with sharper terminals and inked irregularities to create a distinctive, attention-holding reading voice.

Capitals carry strong presence with broad bowls and crisp beaks, while the numerals share the same calligraphic stress and pointed finishing strokes, helping headings and dates feel integrated. In continuous text the texture is animated, with small stroke quirks that can become a feature in branding but may feel busy at very small sizes.
