A strongly slanted serif with vigorous, brush-like stroke modulation and sharply tapered terminals. Serifs are flared and often wedge-shaped, with occasional spurs and hooked entries that create a slightly irregular, inked texture. The letterforms are generously proportioned with wide bowls and open counters, while the rhythm stays lively through alternating thick and hairline strokes and subtly varying curve tension. Numerals and lowercase show the same calligraphic energy, with distinctive angled joins and pointed finials that keep the silhouette animated.

Best suited to display roles where personality matters: titles, chapter heads, posters, packaging, and identity accents. It can work for short bursts of text in pull quotes or introductory blurbs when set large with comfortable spacing, but it is less suited to dense, continuous reading at small sizes.

The overall tone feels adventurous and old-world, like a display face meant to evoke folklore, piracy-era ephemera, or theatrical posters. Its energetic slant and jagged, cut-pen edges add a sense of motion and drama, trading calm neutrality for character and flair.

This font appears designed to merge old-style serif structure with expressive, calligraphic stroke behavior, aiming for a historical or fantastical voice. The wide proportions and animated terminals suggest an intention to create a bold, instantly recognizable texture for headlines and branding rather than a strictly restrained text face.

In text, the lively terminals and high contrast create a busy texture that reads best at larger sizes. Round letters retain openness, but the sharp hooks and spurs can visually clump in tight settings, so breathing room (tracking and leading) helps preserve clarity.
