A high-contrast serif with bracketed, wedge-like serifs and gently calligraphic stroke modulation. Curves are full and slightly irregular in a way that feels human-made rather than geometric, with soft transitions into stems and terminals. The capitals are stately and open, while the lowercase sits low with a short x-height and rounded, ink-trap–like joins in places, giving word shapes a lively rhythm. Numerals and punctuation follow the same tapered, old-style logic, with a slightly varied width and spacing that keeps lines from feeling rigid.

Well suited to book and long-form editorial typography where a traditional, print-informed texture is desired, and it can also serve nicely for literary titling and heritage branding. The refined capitals and lively lowercase make it effective for pull quotes, headings, and formal announcements where warmth and tradition are both important.

The overall tone is classic and literary, evoking printed books and traditional editorial typography. Subtle irregularities and calligraphic cues add warmth and approachability, balancing formality with a hand-touched character.

The design appears intended to reinterpret an old-style, calligraphy-informed serif for contemporary use, preserving high-contrast elegance while keeping proportions and detailing warm and readable. Its slightly varied rhythm suggests a goal of producing a human, printed feel rather than a perfectly mechanized one.

In text, the strong thick–thin contrast and compact x-height create an elegant color that favors moderate-to-generous sizes and comfortable leading. The serifs and terminals create a slightly textured edge, which can add charm in print-like settings but may feel busy when set too small or tightly tracked.
