A high-contrast italic serif with a pronounced diagonal stress and crisp, bracketed serifs. Strokes alternate between hairline thins and sturdy verticals, with tapered entry/exit terminals that feel calligraphic rather than mechanical. The italic angle is assertive, and curves are drawn with a slightly lively, swelling modulation, especially in the lowercase. Capitals are relatively restrained and formal, while the lowercase shows more movement; counters are open and the overall rhythm is airy at text sizes. Numerals appear oldstyle (varying heights) and follow the same contrasty, italicized construction, including a more traditional, flowing ‘2’ and a curving ‘3’.

Well-suited to long-form reading in books and editorial layouts where an italic with real calligraphic character is desired for emphasis. It also fits cultured, traditional branding—publishing marks, arts organizations, and invitations—especially when used at medium to large sizes where the fine contrast can shine.

The tone is classic and bookish with an editorial polish—expressive enough to feel humanist and literary, but controlled enough for serious reading contexts. Its sharp hairlines and elegant slant convey sophistication and tradition rather than neutrality or utilitarianism.

The font appears intended as a conventional text serif italic with elevated contrast and a calligraphic sensibility, balancing readability with expressive, elegant motion. Its proportions and refined detailing suggest a focus on classic typography for editorial and literary settings rather than overt display experimentation.

The design leans on fine hairlines and delicate joins, so it reads particularly crisp in larger sizes and well-printed settings. The italic construction looks true and cursive (not merely obliqued), with distinctive, slightly playful details in letters like ‘k’, ‘f’, and the descending forms.
