A high-contrast serif with sculpted, flaring stroke endings and wedge-like serifs that read as carved rather than sharply bracketed. Curves show pronounced swelling into thick bowls and taper quickly into hairline joins, creating a strong black–white rhythm. The letterforms are compact and sturdy, with tightly controlled apertures and a slightly calligraphic stress that gives rounds (C, O, Q) a chiseled, faceted feel. Capitals feel monumental and weighty, while the lowercase keeps a firm, upright posture with distinctive, tapering shoulders and compact counters; numerals match the same sharp thick–thin transitions and flared finishing strokes.

Best suited for headlines, deck copy, and prominent pull quotes where the strong contrast and sculpted serifs can be appreciated. It can also work for short editorial passages, book jackets, and branding applications that want a classic yet distinctive voice, particularly in larger sizes and with comfortable spacing.

The overall tone is editorial and dramatic, suggesting refinement with a hint of theatrical flair. Its sharp modulation and sculptural terminals convey prestige and formality, while the lively shaping adds personality suited to attention-grabbing typography.

The design appears intended to reinterpret a classic high-contrast serif through flared, chiseled stroke endings and assertive modulation, delivering a premium, attention-forward texture for display and editorial typography.

The design’s flared endings and pinched joins create strong word-shape texture and visible rhythm in lines of text, especially at larger sizes. The ampersand and several lowercase forms show assertive, stylized detailing that pushes it toward display use while still remaining coherent in short passages.
