A high-contrast serif with strongly bracketed, wedge-like serifs and pronounced thick–thin modulation. Round characters (O, C, G) show deep, smooth curves with sharp transitions into hairlines, while vertical stems stay sturdy and dark. Terminals frequently finish in teardrop/ball shapes (notably on f, j, y, and some lowercase joins), giving the face a slightly calligraphic flavor without becoming script-like. Proportions feel compact and sturdy, with a relatively tight, vertical rhythm in the lowercase and a prominent, weighty uppercase presence.

Well suited to headlines, subheads, and display sizes where its contrast and sculpted details can read cleanly. It also fits editorial layouts—magazines, essays, and book-cover titling—where a traditional serif voice with extra drama is desirable.

The overall tone is classic and editorial, combining refinement from the crisp hairlines with a confident, high-impact color on the page. Its sculpted serifs and ball terminals add a touch of theatricality and old-style charm, making the voice feel both formal and expressive.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional serif reading voice with heightened contrast and distinctive terminal detailing, balancing classic bookish structure with attention-grabbing display energy.

In text, the strong contrast and pronounced serifs create a lively sparkle, while the bold main strokes keep words visually anchored. Figures appear lining and similarly high-contrast, matching the text’s assertive, print-forward character.
