A heavy, display-oriented serif with flared, wedge-like terminals and pronounced bracketed serifs that broaden from the stems. Letterforms are broad and generously set, with rounded inner curves and slightly sheared, calligraphic-looking joins that give the strokes a carved or inked feel. Contrast is present but restrained, with thick main strokes and subtly tapered arms and cross-strokes; counters stay fairly open despite the weight. Numerals and capitals appear sturdy and compact in detail, while the lowercase keeps a straightforward, traditional structure with smooth curves and small, sharp finishing flicks.

Best suited to display settings such as headlines, magazine and newspaper-style titling, posters, and book covers where its weight and flared serifs can be appreciated. It can also work for branding and packaging that needs a classic, authoritative tone, particularly when set with ample tracking and generous leading.

The overall tone is authoritative and traditional, with a headline-driven confidence. The flared endings add a subtle vintage, print-era flavor—more bookish and institutional than playful—while the mass and width lend a bold, declarative voice.

The design appears intended to deliver a traditional serif voice with extra presence, using flared, wedge-like terminals and sturdy proportions to create a strong, print-forward texture for prominent typographic roles.

In running sample text, the dense color and broad proportions create strong impact but can tighten perceived spacing, especially around round-to-straight combinations. The flared terminals and bracket transitions remain consistent across the set, helping maintain rhythm and a cohesive texture at large sizes.
