This is a high-contrast serif italic with a crisp, calligraphic build. Strokes show pronounced thick–thin modulation and an oblique stress, with tapered entry/exit strokes that give letters a gently written feel. Serifs are sharp and wedge-like with subtle bracketing, and many glyphs finish in small teardrop or ball terminals (notably on forms like J, a, and y). Proportions feel traditional with moderate extenders; counters are open and curves are clean, producing a bright, elegant texture in text.

Well suited for book and editorial typography where an italic with strong tradition and clarity is needed, such as emphasis, quotations, and subheads. The refined contrast and crisp serifs also work well for formal invitations, literary branding, and premium packaging where a classic voice is desired.

The tone is classic and literary, with a poised, formal character suited to traditional publishing. Its flowing italic movement and sharp serifs add a sense of refinement and ceremony, while the occasional swashy details introduce a hint of flourish without becoming decorative.

The design appears intended as a conventional text-serif italic that brings calligraphic energy to continuous reading. It prioritizes a polished, traditional impression with expressive terminals and strong contrast to support elegant emphasis and sophisticated typographic hierarchy.

The lowercase shows notable variety in silhouette—single-storey a and g, a long, slightly curling y descender, and a compact, lively r—creating an animated rhythm. Figures are oldstyle-leaning in feel, with noticeable ascenders/descenders and curved forms that harmonize with the italic text color. Uppercase letters stay dignified and restrained, balancing the more expressive lowercase and terminals.
