This serif shows crisp, high-contrast strokes with fine hairlines and weight concentrated in the main stems. Serifs are bracketed and neatly tapered, with sharp terminals that give the outlines a clean, engraved feel rather than a soft, rounded one. Capitals are stately and open, with balanced internal counters (notably in C, G, O) and a disciplined rhythm across the alphabet. Lowercase forms keep a traditional, readable structure; the a is double-storey, the g is two-storey with a distinct ear, and joins remain tidy and controlled. Numerals follow the same high-contrast logic, mixing straight stems with narrow joins and slender curves for an overall cohesive texture in text.

Well-suited to editorial layouts, book typography, and magazine design where a classic serif voice and clear hierarchy are needed. It can carry headlines and pull quotes effectively thanks to its pronounced contrast, and it also works for refined branding or packaging when a traditional, authoritative tone is desired.

The overall tone is formal and composed, projecting a classic editorial voice with a refined, slightly luxurious edge. Its sharp detailing and strong light–dark rhythm suggest seriousness and authority, while the open counters keep it from feeling heavy or ornate.

The design appears intended as a conventional text serif with elevated contrast and crisp finishing, balancing traditional proportions with a more dramatic stroke modulation for stronger presence in modern editorial use.

In the text sample, the font creates a strong typographic color with pronounced hairlines, making it especially striking at display and headline sizes. Spacing appears even and measured, supporting long lines without looking compressed, while the contrast and fine details become a defining character feature in larger settings.
