A sturdy serif design with compact proportions and a pronounced vertical stance. Strokes remain broadly even in weight, while terminals and serif connections subtly flare, giving the letters a carved, tapered finish rather than a crisp, bracketed snap. Counters are relatively tight and the overall rhythm is dense, creating a dark, emphatic texture in text. Serifs are sharp and wedge-like, and curves (notably in C, S, and O) keep a controlled, slightly condensed sweep that supports a strong line of type.

Well-suited to headlines, subheads, mastheads, posters, and packaging where a classic serif tone and strong ink color are desirable. It can also work for short-form editorial text, pull quotes, and titling in print-like layouts, particularly when you want a traditional feel with added weight and emphasis.

This typeface projects a confident, old-world voice with a slightly dramatic, editorial presence. The tone feels formal and authoritative, with a hint of vintage character that reads well in statements and headlines.

The design appears intended to deliver a traditional serif voice with extra firmness and visual punch, especially at larger sizes. The flared endings and wedge serifs add a crafted, engraved impression while keeping letterforms straightforward and readable.

The numerals are heavy and prominent, matching the letterforms’ dark color and giving figures a headline-ready presence. Uppercase spacing reads deliberate and compact, and the lowercase maintains a sturdy, bookish texture with clearly defined serifs and terminals.
