A sturdy slab-serif with generously bracketed, wedge-like serifs and a slightly calligraphic, oldstyle serif skeleton. Strokes show noticeable modulation: bowls and curves swell subtly while joins tighten, producing dark, compact counters at text sizes. Terminals often flare or taper into small triangular feet, and curves are rounded rather than geometric, giving the letters a warm, carved quality. The lowercase is compact with sturdy stems; the g is single-storey, the a is double-storey, and the r has a short, firm shoulder. Figures are heavy and stable with broad curves and strong base support.

Best suited to display and editorial settings where a strong serif presence is desirable—headlines, subheads, book and magazine covers, packaging, and brand marks. It can work for short text blocks when you want a dense, authoritative color, but its weight and tight inner spaces favor larger sizes and generous leading.

The overall tone is traditional and editorial, projecting confidence and gravitas without feeling cold. Its heavy serifs and softened curves suggest a bookish, heritage voice suited to established brands and print-forward communication.

The font appears designed to deliver a bold, traditional slab-serif voice with a crafted, slightly oldstyle influence—combining strong rectangular structure with softened curves and bracketed serifs for a confident, print-oriented look.

The design reads darkest in round letters (C, O, Q) where the inner counters tighten, while flat-sided letters (E, H, N) retain a blocky, sign-like solidity. The rhythm is slightly irregular in an intentional way—more organic than mechanical—which adds character in headlines and short passages.
