A heavy, display-oriented serif with an ornamental, old-world construction and subtly roughened contours. Strokes are thick and assertive with moderate contrast, and many terminals finish in spurs, wedges, or small horn-like flicks that give the letters a cut-and-stamped feel. The forms keep a largely upright, readable skeleton, but incorporate irregular edge nicks and pronounced notches, especially on diagonals and joins, creating a distressed, hand-worked texture. Counters are relatively open for the weight, and several capitals feature strong vertical emphasis and decorative top/bottom treatments that add rhythmic bite in headlines.

Best suited to display use where its textured terminals and medieval flavor can read at size: posters, book and game titles, band or event branding, themed packaging, and short pull quotes. It can also work for logos or wordmarks that want an antique, slightly distressed gothic voice, but is likely too busy for long body copy.

The overall tone is gothic and theatrical, suggesting medieval signage, arcane manuscripts, and spooky seasonal ephemera. Its rough, spurred detailing adds a slightly ominous, mischievous energy—more “storybook curse” than formal calligraphy—while staying legible enough for short statements.

The design appears intended to evoke a vintage blackletter-adjacent atmosphere while remaining sturdier and more approachable than strict fraktur forms. The added spur serifs and roughened edges suggest a deliberate “aged print / carved sign” effect aimed at dramatic, themed display typography.

Spacing and sidebearings read as intentionally uneven explains the lively, handmade rhythm in the sample text. Numerals and capitals feel particularly emblematic, with chunky silhouettes and distinctive terminal spikes that become a prominent texture when set in all caps.
