A sturdy slab-serif design with pronounced, mostly bracketed serifs and a strong vertical emphasis. Strokes show noticeable contrast: round letters carry thicker verticals and slightly lighter curves, while the slabs remain weighty and stable. Counters are relatively open for the weight, and the curves are broadly drawn with smooth, controlled transitions into the serifs. The lowercase is workmanlike and readable with a single-storey a and g, a compact, curved-shoulder r, and a clearly looped j; numerals are similarly solid and display-oriented with ample presence.

Best suited to headlines, deck copy, and other display applications where the slab structure can carry visual weight. It can also work well for editorial pull quotes, covers, signage, and branding systems that need a traditional-but-assertive serif presence.

The overall tone feels authoritative and traditional, with a confident, editorial voice. Its hefty slabs and measured contrast evoke classic print and collegiate cues while maintaining a contemporary, no-nonsense clarity.

The design appears intended to deliver a dependable slab-serif voice that balances classic print sensibilities with high-impact clarity. It aims to be attention-getting in large sizes while keeping letterforms familiar and readable for short passages.

At larger sizes the strong serifs and internal shaping add texture and rhythm, creating a distinctive “stamped” solidity without becoming overly decorative. The wide-set capitals and sturdy figures make headings feel anchored, while the lowercase retains enough openness to stay legible in short text runs.
