A condensed serif with bracketed, old-style proportions and a distinctly textured, inked edge. Strokes show subtle taper and modulation, with slightly uneven contours that mimic letterpress or brush-ink irregularities. Serifs are small but present and often wedge-like, and terminals can flare or pinch, giving letters a carved, lively silhouette. Spacing is tight and the overall rhythm is vertical and compact, while individual glyphs retain small idiosyncrasies that keep the texture consistent across the set.

Works best for display and short-to-medium passages where its textured edges can be appreciated—book covers, editorial headings, theatrical or historical posters, and packaging that aims for an antique or artisanal feel. In longer text, it will suit larger sizes or high-contrast printing where the condensed forms and roughness remain clear.

The font feels vintage and literary, like type pulled from an old book, poster, or printed broadside. Its roughened edges and narrow stance create a moody, atmospheric tone that reads as historical, handmade, and slightly dramatic rather than polished or corporate.

The design appears intended to evoke traditional, calligraphy-influenced serif typography with a printed, timeworn surface. Its condensed build suggests an aim for economy and impact, while the controlled roughness adds period flavor and a handmade impression.

Caps are tall and emphatic, pairing well with the condensed lowercase for headline-style emphasis. Numerals follow the same narrow, textured drawing, staying legible while preserving the distressed print character. The irregularity is controlled—enough to add personality, but consistent enough to function in continuous words.
