A lively serif with sharp, wedge-like, bracketed serifs and pronounced stroke modulation. Curves swell into heavy bowls and then taper quickly into hairline joins, giving letters a crisp, engraved feel while staying fluid and organic. Proportions are generous with open counters and a slightly expanded stance, and the rhythm is irregular in an intentional, hand-influenced way—visible in the varied terminals, angled stress, and distinctive, sometimes spurred diagonals. Lowercase forms are compact with small ascenders/descenders relative to the capitals, and the numerals follow the same flared, high-contrast logic with sculpted joins and pointed finishing strokes.

Best suited to display roles where its tapered serifs and animated stroke endings can be appreciated—book covers and chapter titles, editorial headlines, event posters, and brand marks with a classic or narrative voice. It can work for short bursts of text such as pull quotes or subheads, but its high modulation and distinctive terminals are more comfortable at larger sizes than in dense body copy.

The tone blends old-world refinement with a playful, slightly dramatic edge. It feels evocative of classic book typography and ceremonial lettering, but the sharp flares and quirky terminals add a storybook or fantasy-leaning character rather than strict academic formality.

The design appears intended to reinterpret old-style, calligraphic serif traditions with extra sharpness and theatrical flair—prioritizing characterful silhouettes and a dynamic page texture over neutral regularity. It aims to deliver a refined, historical impression while remaining memorable and expressive in modern display settings.

The italics are not shown; in the upright style presented, several letters feature distinctive, calligraphy-like terminals (notably on diagonals and cross-strokes) that create a pronounced texture at display sizes. The overall color on the page is crisp and contrasty, with thin connections that benefit from sufficient size and breathing room.
