This serif italic shows calligraphic, gently tapered strokes with moderate thick–thin modulation and softly bracketed serifs. Forms are slightly condensed and rhythmically uneven in a natural way, with a right-leaning slant and subtle entry/exit strokes that feel written rather than constructed. The lowercase features a single-storey a and g, narrow joins, and fluid terminals, while the capitals keep traditional Roman proportions with restrained serifing and a modest flare. Numerals are old-style in feel, mixing rounded bowls and angled stress with a consistent, lightly textured color in text.

It performs well in long-form reading contexts such as books, essays, and magazines, especially for emphasis, pull quotes, and headings that need a classic italic voice. It can also support refined collateral—programs, invitations, and packaging—where a traditional, humanist tone is desired.

The overall tone is traditional and literary, with a warm, human touch that reads as cultured rather than clinical. Its italic energy feels expressive and slightly formal, suited to quoted speech, emphasis, or editorial voice without becoming ornamental.

The design appears intended as a text-friendly italic rooted in old-style proportions, aiming for a warm, readable texture and authentic calligraphic movement rather than geometric regularity.

Stroke endings often finish in teardrop-like or tapered terminals, and curves carry a mild diagonal stress that reinforces the handwritten influence. Spacing appears comfortable in running text, producing a gently mottled texture typical of classic book italics.
