A distressed serif with visibly eroded outlines, mottled fills, and uneven edge breakup that mimics rough printing or worn type. Letterforms are built on classic, slightly condensed proportions with sharp wedge-like serifs and strong thick–thin modulation, but the texture interrupts stems and bowls to create a lively, imperfect rhythm. Curves and joins show irregular nicks and speckling, and counters often appear partially bitten away, producing a rugged silhouette while remaining broadly legible in text.

Works best for display settings where texture is a feature—headlines, posters, book covers, and vintage-style packaging or labels. It can also serve short editorial pull quotes or section headers when you want a historic, worn-print voice; for longer passages, larger sizes and generous spacing help preserve clarity.

The overall tone feels antique and tactile, like ink pressed into porous paper and aged by time. Its roughness reads as gritty and handmade, adding drama and a sense of artifact or ephemera rather than polished modernity.

Designed to deliver a traditional serif voice with an intentionally weathered finish, evoking aged letterpress or distressed signage. The goal appears to be adding authenticity and tactile character to otherwise classical forms, balancing recognizability with deliberate imperfection.

The texture is consistent across uppercase, lowercase, and numerals, with the most visible breakup along outer contours and at serif terminals. Uppercase forms have a poster-like presence, while lowercase retains a bookish structure that keeps longer strings readable despite the heavy distressing.
