A calligraphic serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and a slightly lively, hand-influenced rhythm. Serifs are compact and sharply cut, often reading as wedge-like with gentle bracketing, while terminals end in crisp, angled strokes rather than blunt slabs. The capitals feel sturdy and slightly triangular in their stance (notably in forms like A, V, W, and Y), and round letters show a subtle diagonal stress. Lowercase forms are compact and energetic, with a two-storey a, a small-e aperture, and distinctive hooked/angled joins that give the text a textured, old-style color.

Well-suited for editorial typography, book and chapter titles, pull quotes, and literary or heritage-leaning branding where a classic serif voice is desired. The crisp serifs and energetic stroke contrast also make it effective for packaging, signage, and short passages that benefit from a more expressive, traditional texture.

The overall tone is traditional and bookish, with a warm, historical flavor that suggests craft and authority. Its sharper, faceted serifs add a slightly dramatic edge, making it feel more emphatic than a purely subdued text face.

The design appears intended to evoke an old-style, humanist reading experience while adding sharper, more faceted serif detailing for presence in headings. It balances familiar text-face proportions with calligraphic energy to produce a distinctive, historically inflected voice.

In the sample text, the font builds a dense, lively texture with clear word shapes and noticeable contrast, especially at display sizes. Numerals follow the same sharp, calligraphic logic, with angled entries/exits and compact proportions that match the text’s brisk cadence.
