A robust, high-contrast serif with a sturdy vertical stress and clearly bracketed, wedge-like serifs that flare from the stems. Curves are full and slightly condensed in places, with crisp transitions into hairlines and pronounced thick–thin modulation. Terminals often resolve into small teardrops or ball-like ends (notably in lowercase), giving a sculpted, calligraphic finish. Lowercase forms are compact and weighty, with rounded counters and short, confident serifs that keep color dense and even in text.

Well suited to editorial headlines, magazine display, and book-cover typography where contrast and serif detailing can be appreciated. It can also support short-to-medium passages in print-oriented layouts when a dense, traditional texture is desired, and it performs strongly for branding that needs heritage and authority.

The overall tone is traditional and literary, with a confident, assertive presence suited to serious messaging. Its sharp contrast and sculpted terminals add a sense of drama and polish, while the solid massing keeps it grounded and authoritative.

The design appears intended to evoke classic, print-forward typography by combining strong vertical structure with flared, bracketed serifs and decorative terminal finishes. The aim is a bold, readable display serif that carries a refined, old-world sensibility while maintaining high impact at larger sizes.

Capitals present strong, stately silhouettes with crisp serifs and emphatic verticals, while lowercase adds warmth through rounded bowls and terminal detailing. Numerals appear oldstyle with varying heights and alignments, reinforcing a bookish, classic feel and adding texture in running text.
