A heavy, high-contrast serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and sharply cut, bracketed wedge serifs. The letterforms are compact and sturdy, with relatively large capitals, a moderate x-height, and tight-looking apertures that create a dark, continuous texture in text. Curves are smooth and slightly flattened in places, while joins and terminals show crisp, chiseled shaping; several lowercase forms exhibit ball-like terminals and teardrop ends. Numerals and capitals carry strong vertical stress and a stately rhythm, with a mix of wide rounds (O, Q) and more compact straight-sided forms that contribute to a lively, variable width color.

Well-suited to editorial typography such as magazine headlines, section openers, and pull quotes where a dark, confident serif is desirable. It can also serve effectively on book covers and brand identities that need a classic, authoritative voice, particularly when set at display sizes where its contrast and terminal details read clearly.

The overall tone is traditional and serious, projecting authority and an editorial, print-forward presence. Its dark weight and sharp serif detailing add a sense of gravitas and heritage, while the sculpted terminals keep it from feeling purely austere.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional, print-oriented serif voice with heightened contrast and weight for display emphasis. Its sculpted serifs and terminal treatment aim to balance tradition with strong visual impact, maintaining a formal, literary feel while remaining highly attention-grabbing.

In the sample text, the dense color and strong contrast emphasize word shapes and punctuation, making it especially impactful at larger sizes. The serif edges and ball terminals create distinctive silhouettes, giving headlines a slightly old-style, bookish character even in bold settings.
