A slanted serif with pronounced calligraphic modulation and crisp thick–thin transitions. Strokes taper into sharp entry/exit points, with subtly bracketed serifs that often read as flicked or brush-cut rather than rigid slabs. Counters are open and slightly irregular in rhythm, and the overall texture alternates between solid dark stems and hairline connectors. Capitals feel lively and slightly condensed in gesture, while the lowercase shows a compact x-height with long ascenders/descenders and energetic, angled joins.

It works well for editorial headlines, pull quotes, and book or magazine titling where an elegant italic voice is desired. The expressive modulation also suits invitations, wine/food branding, and heritage-flavored packaging. For long passages, it is better reserved for emphasis or short runs due to its strong slant and high-contrast detailing.

The font conveys a classical, bookish tone with a distinctly handwritten edge. Its sharp terminals and strong diagonal movement give it drama and personality, while the serif structure keeps it rooted in tradition and formality.

The design appears intended to capture an old-style italic tradition with visible pen influence—combining refined serif construction with lively, hand-cut terminals to create a distinctive, display-leaning text companion.

Numerals follow the same italic calligraphy, with curved strokes and tapered terminals that suit display settings more than tabular utility. At larger sizes the roughened, ink-like edges and brisk serifs become a defining feature, adding texture and a slightly antique, printed feel.
