A heavy, high-contrast serif with a vertical stress and pronounced thick–thin modulation. The design uses compact, wedge-like serifs and crisp, sharply cut terminals that often taper into hairline joins, giving strong silhouette definition despite the weight. Counters are relatively tight and the interior shapes skew oval to teardrop, with small apertures and frequent ball terminals/teardrop endings on lowercase forms. The rhythm is deliberately uneven in places—some letters feel narrower and others more expansive—creating a display-forward texture that reads as sculpted and punchy in text.

Best suited to headlines, posters, mastheads, book covers, and brand marks where strong contrast and distinctive serif shaping can be seen clearly. It can work for short editorial decks or pull quotes when set with generous size and spacing, but it is most effective as a display face rather than for dense, small-size reading.

The overall tone is bold and emphatic, with a classic, slightly theatrical flavor. Its sharp serifs and dramatic contrast evoke editorial authority and old-style signage energy, while the ball terminals add a touch of ornament and personality. It feels confident and attention-grabbing rather than neutral.

The letterforms appear designed to maximize impact through stark thick–thin contrast and sharply articulated serifs, pairing a traditional serif framework with assertive weight and ornamental terminals. The intent reads as a characterful display serif that projects authority and classic drama while remaining firmly upright and structured.

The numerals share the same contrast and tapered detailing, with compact bowls and prominent weight concentration in verticals. At smaller sizes the tight counters and hairline transitions can visually fill in, while at larger sizes the cut-in details and terminal shapes become a defining feature.
