A heavy, block-built slab serif with chamfered corners that give many glyphs an octagonal silhouette. Strokes are stout and mostly monolinear, with flat, squared terminals and assertive slab serifs that feel integrated into the stems rather than delicately attached. Counters are compact and geometric, apertures tend to be tight, and the overall rhythm is dense and punchy, optimized for strong figure–ground separation. The lowercase is robust and simplified, with single-storey forms and sturdy joins that maintain the same chiseled, squared-off logic as the caps and numerals.

It suits impactful headlines, posters, and title treatments where dense black shapes and strong serifs help text hold its own. It’s also a solid choice for sports and collegiate branding, badge-style logos, and packaging or labels that want a rugged, heritage-leaning voice.

The tone is bold and declarative, evoking varsity lettering, old-style signage, and rugged workwear branding. Its angular cuts and heavy slabs add a tough, no-nonsense energy that reads as confident and slightly retro.

The design appears intended to deliver maximum impact with a sturdy, geometric construction and a distinctive chamfered edge profile. It prioritizes bold legibility and a sign-painter/letterpress-like solidity over delicate detail, aiming for emblematic display typography.

The font’s consistent corner chamfers create a carved or stamped feel, which keeps the texture crisp in display sizes while giving text a distinctly graphic, emblem-like presence. Numerals match the caps in weight and geometry, supporting headline use where figures need to carry equal visual authority.
