A humanist serif with visibly rough, broken edges that mimic dry ink or worn printing. Strokes are generally sturdy and low-contrast, with softly bracketed, uneven serifs and slightly wobbly contours that keep the letterforms from feeling mechanical. Curves are open and generously proportioned, while terminals and joins show small nicks and inconsistencies that create a natural, hand-printed rhythm. Numerals and capitals carry the same textured finish, giving headings and mixed-case settings a cohesive, crafted look.

Well suited to display applications where texture is a feature—posters, covers, labels, menus, and brand marks that want a crafted or heritage feel. It can also work for short editorial passages or pull quotes when a warm, imperfect print tone is desired, especially at sizes where the edge texture remains visible.

The overall tone feels tactile and workshop-made—like text pulled from an old press, stamped packaging, or a well-used book jacket. Its roughness reads as warm and approachable rather than harsh, adding character and a hint of nostalgia. The irregularities introduce a casual, slightly playful energy that can make straightforward copy feel more expressive.

Designed to deliver a traditional serif reading voice while introducing intentional wear and ink texture for atmosphere. The goal appears to be a practical, legible foundation with enough surface irregularity to signal authenticity, age, or hand production in modern layouts.

The texture is consistent across the set, but not uniform: edges fluctuate in a way that suggests real material variation, which helps prevent repetitive patterning in longer passages. Counters remain clear in the sample text, so the distressed treatment decorates the silhouette more than it obscures it.
