A high-contrast serif with crisp, tapered strokes and bracketed wedge serifs that feel cut from a pen-and-ink model. Curves are generous and slightly irregular at the edges, with occasional roughened contours that suggest a lightly distressed or ink-pressed texture rather than perfectly machined outlines. Capitals are stately with broad bowls and clear modulation, while lowercase forms sit on a steady baseline with compact counters and a noticeably modest x-height. Overall spacing and rhythm read like a traditional text face, with lively stroke endings and subtly varied joins that keep long lines from feeling sterile.

Well suited to book and long-form editorial typography where a classic serif voice is desired, as well as titles and pull quotes that benefit from strong contrast and sharp serifs. The subtle inked texture can also add character to premium packaging, invitations, and certificate-style materials where a traditional, printed feel is appropriate.

The font conveys a classical, literary tone—confident and traditional, with a hint of handcrafted character. Its sharp serifs and strong modulation add authority, while the slight texture brings warmth and tactility reminiscent of printed pages and historical documents.

The design appears intended to echo old-style, calligraphy-influenced serifs while adding a lightly worn print texture to avoid a purely contemporary finish. It aims for a credible, traditional reading rhythm with enough edge character to stand out in display settings.

Numerals are old-style in spirit, with varied silhouettes and angled stress that blend comfortably into text. The design shows a consistent calligraphic logic across rounds and diagonals, and the slight edge wear is most noticeable at terminals and along heavier stems, adding personality without overwhelming readability.
