This serif shows crisp, finely bracketed serifs and a distinctly calligraphic stroke logic, with strong thick–thin modulation and tapered joins. Capitals are stately and slightly wide, with sharp beak-like terminals on forms such as C and G and a diagonal leg on R that adds energy. The lowercase has open counters and a steady rhythm; ascenders are relatively tall, and terminals often finish in subtle wedges rather than blunt cuts. Curves feel drawn rather than purely geometric, and the overall color stays even in text despite the pronounced contrast.

It suits long-form reading in books and essays where a traditional, high-contrast serif is desired, and it also performs well for editorial layouts, pull quotes, and magazine typography. The characterful capitals and crisp terminals make it a strong choice for titles, chapter openers, and formal stationery where a classic voice is important.

The tone is traditional and literary, with an old-world refinement that reads as cultured and authoritative. Its sharp terminals and high-contrast strokes add a touch of drama, evoking classic book typography and historical print ephemera without feeling overly ornamental.

The design appears intended to reinterpret old-style, calligraphy-influenced serif typography with a clean, contemporary finish. It balances expressive, pen-like detailing in terminals and serifs with consistent spacing and a steady text rhythm for practical editorial use.

The numerals appear text-friendly and proportional, with elegant curves (notably 2, 3, and 8) and clear differentiation. The design includes a few distinctive, slightly idiosyncratic details—such as the Q tail and the lively beaks on several capitals—that give it character in display settings while remaining composed in paragraphs.
