A heavy, high-contrast serif with pronounced flare at stroke endings and sharp, wedge-like serifs. The strokes show a distinctly calligraphic stress, with swelling verticals and hairline-like connections that create a sculpted, almost engraved look. Letterforms are compact and dense, with tight interior counters and energetic curves; diagonals and joins stay crisp, while bowls (like C, G, O, and S) feel smoothly carved rather than geometric. The lowercase mixes sturdy stems with small, pinched apertures and prominent terminals, keeping a consistent rhythm across text despite the strongly modulated strokes.

Best suited to display roles where strong texture and sculpted contrast can be appreciated—headlines, magazine and book cover typography, event posters, and branding systems that want a classic-but-dramatic voice. It can also work for short pull quotes or section openers, while longer passages benefit from generous size and spacing to keep counters and hairlines from visually closing up.

The overall tone is bold and ceremonial, blending classical bookish authority with a fashion-forward, poster-ready punch. Its flared endings and dramatic contrast add a sense of performance and historical gravitas, reading as confident and attention-seeking rather than quiet or utilitarian.

The design appears intended to deliver a refined, traditional serif impression with heightened drama through flared terminals and pronounced contrast, creating memorable word shapes and a rich typographic color for statement-making text.

At larger sizes the sharp wedges and narrow counters create striking texture and distinctive silhouettes; in dense settings those same tight counters and strong modulation can make the color feel dark and emphatic. Numerals follow the same sculpted, high-contrast logic, with lively curves and pronounced terminal shaping.
