A sharply contrasted serif with an engraved, incised construction and pronounced thick–thin transitions. Stems are sturdy and mostly vertical, while hairlines are extremely fine, producing a crisp, high-definition texture. Serifs are small, squared, and often wedge-like or flared, with minimal bracketing, giving terminals a chiseled, calligraphic finish. Counters tend toward geometric rectangularity (notably in C, D, O, and many lowercase bowls), and joins are clean and angular; diagonals in V/W/X and the pointed Y add to the hard-edged rhythm. The lowercase shows a sturdy, slightly modular feel with a single-storey a and g, a compact r, and a square, enclosed e with a tight aperture.

Best suited to display typography where its hairline contrast and angular detail can be appreciated—headlines, titles, posters, and cover work. It can also support editorial branding or section headers when a formal, inscriptional voice is desired, but the tight apertures and fine strokes suggest using it with generous size and spacing for clarity.

The overall tone is stately and severe, balancing elegance from the hairline contrast with a disciplined, architectural rigidity. It reads as classic and ceremonial, with a slightly esoteric, inscription-like character that can feel both scholarly and imposing. The sharp corners and narrow apertures add a controlled, almost mechanical seriousness rather than warmth.

The font appears designed to evoke an engraved, monumental serif tradition while introducing a geometric, squared counter system for a distinctive, contemporary bite. Its intent seems to prioritize dramatic contrast, crisp silhouettes, and a ceremonious presence in title settings.

The design’s squarish bowls and boxed counters create a distinctive texture in words, especially at larger sizes where the hairlines remain visibly crisp. Numerals follow the same rectilinear logic, with strong right angles and thin interior strokes that reinforce the engraved impression.
