A sculptural serif with prominent wedge-like, flared serifs and sharply tapered joins that create an engraved, cut-paper silhouette. Strokes show pronounced thick–thin contrast, with tight interior apertures and occasional notches that read like ink traps at small sizes. Capitals are broad and weighty with assertive serifs and curved, bracketed transitions, while the lowercase adds lively, slightly calligraphic terminals and a distinctive double-storey “g”. Figures are similarly stylized, with curving bowls and angular cut-ins that keep the texture dense and attention-grabbing.

Best suited to headlines, pull quotes, posters, and book-cover typography where its flared serifs and high-contrast shapes can carry personality. It can also work for branding and packaging that want a classic-but-unusual serif voice, especially at medium to large sizes.

The overall tone is theatrical and vintage-leaning, balancing classical bookish cues with a decorative sharpness. It suggests a confident, slightly eccentric formality—more “headline drama” than quiet body-text neutrality.

The design appears intended to reinterpret a traditional serif foundation with exaggerated wedges, tight counters, and decorative cut-ins to produce a bold, immediately recognizable display texture. It prioritizes character and rhythm over restraint, aiming for strong presence in titles and short blocks of text.

Texture is intentionally punchy: counters are compact and the contrast-driven stress produces strong dark–light rhythm in words. The letterforms feel tuned for display sizes where the wedge serifs, notches, and distinctive terminals remain crisp and expressive.
