A refined serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and bracketed serifs that taper cleanly into the stems. Letterforms show a slightly calligraphic, oldstyle flavor: round characters have gently stressed curves, and terminals often end in subtle teardrops or wedges. Capitals are proportioned with an elegant, bookish presence—wide bowls and open counters in C, G, and O—while the lowercase keeps a steady text rhythm with clear ascenders and a compact, controlled footprint. The figures appear text-friendly, mixing straight and curved strokes with modest ornament in shapes like 2 and 3, supporting comfortable reading rather than rigid uniformity.

Well suited to long-form book typography, essays, and magazine layouts where a classic serif texture is desired. It also performs nicely for refined headings, pull quotes, and formal printed materials such as programs and invitations that benefit from high-contrast elegance.

The overall tone is polished and traditional, with an editorial seriousness that feels at home in literary and cultural contexts. Its sharp contrast and sculpted terminals add sophistication and a hint of ceremony, giving paragraphs a composed, authoritative voice without becoming overly decorative.

The type appears designed to deliver a conventional, high-contrast reading serif with classic proportions and subtle calligraphic detailing. The goal seems to be dependable text performance paired with an elevated, editorial finish for titles and emphasis.

The design balances crisp hairlines with sturdier main strokes, creating lively page texture at display and text sizes. Curves are smoothly drawn and counters remain open, which helps maintain clarity in continuous reading while still delivering a distinctly elegant silhouette in headings and initials.
