A compact, dark serif with an old-style foundation and a visibly hand-inked finish. Strokes show pronounced thick–thin modulation and irregular edges, as if printed from worn type or drawn with a dry brush. Serifs are bracketed and slightly flared, with softened terminals and occasional bulb-like endings that create a lively, uneven texture across words. Counters are relatively tight and the overall rhythm is energetic, with small variations in stroke weight and width that keep the line from feeling mechanically uniform.

Best suited to display work where texture is an asset: posters, event titles, book covers, labels, and branding that wants an antique or handcrafted voice. It can also work for short editorial pull quotes or section heads, where the dense color and lively shapes won’t overwhelm extended reading.

The tone suggests vintage print ephemera—part storybook, part letterpress poster—mixing warmth with a slightly mischievous, handmade grit. It reads as personable and expressive rather than polished, lending charm and character to short passages and display settings.

The design appears intended to evoke traditional serif letterforms through a deliberately imperfect, printed/hand-rendered surface. Its goal is character and atmosphere—suggesting age, craft, and warmth—while retaining recognizable, classic proportions for legibility in larger sizes.

In text, the heavy color and rough edges produce a strong page presence and a mottled texture; spacing feels intentionally irregular in a way that reinforces the distressed, analog impression. Numerals and capitals follow the same ink-worn logic, making the set feel cohesive for titling and headings.
