A condensed serif with sturdy stems, moderately modulated stroke weight, and bracketed wedge-like serifs that flare into soft, slightly blunted terminals. The outlines show intentional irregularity—subtle waviness, asymmetric curves, and occasional notch-like joins—creating an inked, hand-cut impression rather than a perfectly geometric finish. Counters are generally compact, with rounded interior spaces and a lively rhythm that varies slightly from letter to letter. Numerals and lowercase follow the same carved/inked logic, with compact proportions and prominent, sculpted serifs that keep the texture consistent across the set.

Best suited to display applications where its dense color and textured detailing can be appreciated—posters, headlines, packaging, labels, and book covers. It can also work for short passages or pull quotes when a vintage, crafted tone is desired, though its strong texture and narrow fit will feel most intentional at larger sizes.

The overall tone feels vintage and handcrafted, evoking old printing, wood type, or hand-lettered signage. Its uneven edges and chiseled details add a folksy, storybook character that reads as warm and slightly rugged rather than formal or corporate.

The design appears aimed at recreating the warmth of historical, craft-driven letterforms with a contemporary consistency: condensed proportions for impact, classic serif construction for readability, and controlled roughness for character and authenticity.

In running text the condensed width and dark color create strong word shapes and an assertive texture, while the irregularities remain visible at display sizes. The design’s distinctive notches and softened terminals are a defining feature, giving the face a deliberately imperfect, tactile personality.
