This serif features sharp, tapered serifs and pronounced thick–thin contrast, with a predominantly vertical stress and crisp joins. Many forms show beaked or wedge-like terminals and occasional ball terminals, creating a lively, sculpted texture rather than a purely sober oldstyle. Proportions are moderately condensed in some capitals with strong vertical stems, while rounds stay full and open; curves often narrow into thin hairlines that emphasize the contrast. Spacing appears balanced for display, with a slightly assertive rhythm created by pointed serifs and distinctive terminal shapes.

It performs best in headlines, subheads, and pull quotes where its high contrast and distinctive terminals can be appreciated at larger sizes. It’s well suited to magazine design, book covers, cultural posters, and premium branding systems that want a classic serif with extra character. For longer passages, it will likely be most comfortable when given generous size and leading to preserve clarity of the finer hairlines.

The overall tone feels editorial and refined, with a dramatic, high-contrast sparkle that reads as upscale and intentional. Its sharper terminals and slightly idiosyncratic details add a touch of theatricality, making it feel more expressive than a typical book serif. The result is a classic voice suited to sophisticated, statement-making typography.

The design appears intended to deliver a luxurious, editorial serif voice with heightened contrast and memorable, sculpted terminals. Its letterforms balance traditional proportions with decorative inflections, aiming for strong identity and visual drama in display settings.

Several glyphs show stylized, calligraphic inflections—especially in the capitals and the ampersand—adding personality in headlines. Numerals carry the same contrast and tapering, helping the set maintain a cohesive, display-oriented presence when mixing text and figures.
