A distressed display face with irregular, ragged contours and frequent thorn-like spikes at terminals and joins. Strokes are heavy but uneven, with sharp cut-ins and occasional ink-splatter voids that create strong light–dark tension. The rhythm is intentionally unstable: letter widths vary noticeably, counters are lumpy and asymmetrical, and curves break into angular notches. Uppercase forms read as blocky silhouettes with rough erosion, while lowercase keeps a compact, slightly calligraphic feel with narrow stems and hooked endings; numerals follow the same torn, uneven construction.

Best suited to short, high-impact text such as titles, logos, poster headlines, and promotional graphics where the distressed spikes can be read clearly. It works well for horror and Halloween-themed materials, dark fantasy or thriller branding, and game/stream overlays needing an eerie display voice. Use sparingly in longer passages, reserving it for headings or pull quotes to preserve readability.

The overall tone is ominous and theatrical, suggesting horror posters, haunted settings, and pulp suspense. Its aggressive spikes and worn texture feel like scratched paint or ink dragged across paper, creating a sense of danger and unease. The energetic irregularity adds a frantic, supernatural edge rather than a refined or orderly mood.

The design appears intended to deliver an instantly recognizable horror flavor through jagged terminals, eroded edges, and uneven stroke energy. Its variable silhouettes and distressed cuts prioritize atmosphere and impact over neutrality, creating a dramatic, haunted voice for display typography.

The texture is consistent across the set, with repeated tapering points and chipped edges that help maintain cohesion. At larger sizes the distressed details are prominent and characterful; at smaller sizes the interior breaks and ragged terminals can visually fill in, so spacing and size choices will strongly affect clarity.
