A high-contrast serif with a sculpted, calligraphic construction and crisp, bracketed serifs. Thick vertical stems snap into hairline horizontals and delicate joins, giving the letterforms a polished, engraved look. Capitals are broad and stately with generous interior counters, while lowercase forms show traditional, bookish proportions and a lively stroke modulation that becomes especially visible in letters like a, e, g, and s. Figures align with the same contrast model, combining sturdy main strokes with fine terminals for a cohesive, formal texture.

Well-suited to editorial design such as magazine headlines, pull quotes, and display typography where its contrast and detailing can shine. It also fits book covers and formal branding that benefit from a traditional, authoritative serif voice. For longer passages, it will be most comfortable at sizes where the hairlines and serifs remain clearly rendered.

The overall tone is classic and refined, projecting an editorial seriousness associated with literature, heritage branding, and traditional publishing. Its sharp hairlines and confident serifs add a sense of elegance and authority, while the calligraphic modulation keeps the voice from feeling purely mechanical.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional, high-end serif look with pronounced stroke contrast and carefully modeled serifs, balancing classic book typography with a more dramatic display presence. It aims for elegance, clarity, and a recognizable editorial character.

In text, the strong thick–thin rhythm produces a pronounced vertical cadence and a bright page color, with hairline strokes and small details that become more prominent at larger sizes. Spacing appears comfortable and the shapes remain clear, though the finest strokes read as intentionally delicate.
