A robust serif with uneven, faceted contours that read like hand-cut or distressed letterforms. Strokes are thick and steady, with moderate modulation and noticeably irregular edges, as if printed from worn type or carved with a knife. Serifs are short and wedge-like, often asymmetrical, and terminals end in blunt, angular cuts rather than smooth curves. Counters are compact and slightly lumpy, giving letters a dense color and a lively, imperfect rhythm across lines.

Best suited to display roles where the distressed edges and dense texture can be appreciated—titles, pull quotes, posters, labels, and packaging. It can also work for short paragraphs in thematic contexts (historical, fantasy, or craft), especially at comfortable sizes and with a bit of extra tracking to keep counters from feeling crowded.

The overall tone is antique and rustic, evoking old broadsides, folklore titles, and historical ephemera. Its roughened silhouette adds grit and drama, creating an expressive, slightly ominous flavor that can feel both storybook and gothic-adjacent depending on setting and spacing.

The design appears intended to deliver an old-world serif voice with a deliberately weathered, hand-worked surface, balancing readable classic letter skeletons with expressive, irregular finishing. It aims to suggest age, tactility, and print-worn character while retaining enough structure for confident setting in impactful text.

The capitals have a strong, poster-like presence, while the lowercase keeps the same textured cuts, maintaining consistency in long text. Numerals follow the same distressed, angular construction, helping headlines and short emphases feel cohesive when mixing letters and figures.
