A high-contrast italic serif with sharp hairlines and sturdy main strokes, showing a distinctly calligraphic, right-leaning construction. Serifs are bracketed and tapered, with wedge-like terminals and lively entry/exit strokes that create a dynamic rhythm across words. Capitals are slightly narrow and upright in posture despite the slant, while lowercase forms keep a moderate x-height with open counters and pronounced ascenders/descenders; the italic "a" and "g" are single-storey, and the "f" has an extended, flowing arm. Numerals follow the same italic stress and contrast, with curled terminals and a slightly old-style flavor in their movement.

Well suited to editorial typography—magazine features, book jackets, and chapter openers—where an expressive italic can carry emphasis with a classic sensibility. It also fits formal invitations, certificates, and premium brand collateral when used for titles, pull quotes, and short passages rather than dense small-size text.

The overall tone feels traditional and cultivated, with a strong editorial voice that reads as authoritative rather than decorative. Its crisp contrast and energetic italics add a sense of sophistication and momentum, suggesting classic publishing and refined branding.

The design appears intended to provide a traditional italic companion with pronounced contrast and a calligraphic feel, balancing formal serif conventions with enough flourish to stand out in display and editorial settings.

Stroke modulation is consistent across the set, with clean joins and a smooth, continuous pen-like flow in curved letters such as C, O, S, and the lowercase s. Spacing appears designed for text, but the strong slant and contrast make it most comfortable at moderate-to-large sizes where the hairlines and terminals stay clear.
