A slanted serif with strong thick–thin modulation and a distinctly calligraphic construction. Serifs are bracketed and wedge-like, with tapered terminals that give strokes a carved, inked feel. Uppercase forms are compact and slightly condensed in impression, while lowercase shows lively joins, a single-storey “a,” and gently swelling curves that keep the texture animated. Figures follow the same italic rhythm, with flowing shapes and pronounced entry/exit strokes that read clearly at display sizes.

Well suited to editorial headlines, magazine typography, and book-cover titling where a classic italic voice is desired. It also works for invitations, certificates, and other formal materials that benefit from a refined, traditional serif with expressive motion. As a text italic, it can function for short passages or emphasis, though its contrast and personality favor larger sizes and highlighted roles.

The overall tone is traditional and cultured, with a polished, print-forward presence. Its energetic italic movement and sharp contrast add a sense of drama and emphasis, making it feel confident and slightly theatrical rather than quiet or utilitarian.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional serif foundation with an expressive italic character, balancing traditional bookish cues with a more theatrical, calligraphy-informed rhythm. Its forms prioritize elegance and emphasis, aiming to stand out in editorial and formal contexts while maintaining familiar serif readability.

Letterforms lean on diagonal stress and tapered stroke endings, producing a consistent forward momentum across words. Counters remain open enough for readability, but the pronounced contrast and lively terminals make it most comfortable when given a bit of space and used for emphasis.
