This serif has a strongly calligraphic construction with pronounced thick–thin modulation and a consistent rightward slant. Serifs are small and finely tapered, often bracketed into the stems, with many terminals finishing in sharp points or teardrop-like forms that emphasize the stroke contrast. Counters are compact and the bowls feel slightly pinched, giving the letters a sculpted, high-fashion rhythm; round forms like O and 0 read as robust and weighty, while diagonals and joins show crisp, chiseled transitions. Lowercase forms include lively, angled entry strokes and curved descenders, maintaining a flowing italic texture without becoming fully script-like.

Best suited to display roles where contrast and italic motion can be appreciated—headlines, subheads, pull quotes, magazine and cultural branding, and book or album covers. It can also work for short, premium-feeling passages (introductions, captions, menus) where a more expressive serif texture is desired.

The overall tone is refined and theatrical, projecting a classic, editorial sophistication. Its dramatic contrast and lively italic movement suggest luxury, literature, and a distinctly expressive, old-world elegance rather than a neutral utilitarian voice.

The design appears intended to translate broad-nib or engraved italic traditions into a contemporary display serif with heightened contrast and crisp, stylized terminals. It prioritizes expressive rhythm and a luxurious tone, aiming for impact and elegance in larger sizes.

In text, the slanted forms and sharp terminals create a strong horizontal sweep and a slightly sparkling texture, especially where pointed serifs and tight joins repeat. The numerals and capitals carry the same sculpted contrast, making large settings feel especially assertive and decorative.
