A decorative serif with a strongly angular, chamfered construction that reads like engraved or cut lettering. Stems are straight and fairly uniform, while corners are clipped into small facets that create an octagonal, beveled silhouette across rounds and diagonals. Serifs are sharp and wedge-like, often formed by notches or spur details rather than smooth brackets, giving the outlines a carved, mechanical rhythm. The lowercase is compact and sturdy with a prominent x-height and simplified, blocky bowls and joins; counters tend to be squarish and tightly controlled, producing a dense texture in text.

Best suited to display settings where its faceted detailing can be appreciated—titles, posters, game or film branding, album art, packaging, and themed event materials. It can work for short subheads or pull quotes, but dense paragraphs may feel busy unless set large with generous spacing.

The overall tone feels medieval and ceremonial, with a dark, arcane character reminiscent of gothic signage, heraldry, and fantasy world-building. Its faceted corners and crisp wedges add a sense of toughness and authority, suggesting metalwork, stone carving, or stamped lettering rather than handwriting.

The design appears intended to translate gothic/blackletter atmosphere into a more geometric, legible display serif by replacing calligraphic stroke modulation with carved, chamfered geometry. It aims for a consistent, constructed look that evokes inscription and ornament while remaining firm and readable in bold headline use.

In running text the repeated chamfers and inner notches create a distinctive sparkle at edges, but also increase visual complexity at small sizes. The numerals follow the same octagonal logic, with squared curves and strong corner cuts that keep them stylistically consistent with the caps.
