This typeface presents a high-contrast serif design with pronounced thick–thin modulation and crisp, tapered terminals. Serifs are bracketed and often flare subtly from the stems, creating a chiseled, sculpted feeling rather than blunt slab endings. The capitals are stately and slightly condensed in presence, with sharp apexes (notably in A and V/W) and clear, vertical stress in rounded forms. Lowercase forms are compact and controlled, with a two-storey a and g, tight apertures, and neat, pointed finishing strokes that keep silhouettes lively without becoming ornate. Numerals follow the same sharp, high-contrast logic, with elegant curves and decisive entry/exit strokes.

Well suited to editorial layouts, book interiors, and formal print work where a traditional serif voice is desired. The crisp contrast and sculpted terminals also make it effective for display applications—magazine headlines, cultural branding, and event materials—where a refined, classic tone is important.

Overall tone is classical and authoritative, evoking traditional book typography and institutional polish. The strong contrast and tapered details add a refined, slightly dramatic edge that reads as premium and deliberate rather than casual.

The design appears intended to modernize a traditional high-contrast serif with subtly flared endings and sharp finishing strokes, producing a formal, literary texture that holds up in continuous reading while offering extra character for titles and prominent typography.

At text sizes the rhythm appears even and composed, while at larger sizes the pointed terminals and flared finishes become a key character feature. The design balances crisp detailing with conventional proportions, keeping the texture serious and legible while still offering a distinctive, carved-in-ink personality.
