A sturdy serif with pronounced bracketed serifs and a visibly inked, slightly uneven edge that suggests impression or hand-inked printing. Strokes show strong thick–thin modulation with rounded joins and subtly flared terminals, giving counters a softly organic shape. Proportions are generously wide with open bowls and a steady, upright stance; spacing feels comfortable rather than tight, and the overall color is dense but not brittle. Numerals and capitals carry the same textured, slightly rough finish, maintaining consistency across the set.

Works well for editorial headlines, pull quotes, and book-cover typography where a classic voice with a tactile finish is desired. It can also suit posters, packaging, and branding that aims for a crafted, heritage feel, especially when printed at medium to large sizes where the textured edges can be appreciated.

The face reads as traditional and tactile, evoking old printed matter—book pages, posters, and archival ephemera—while staying confident and readable. Its small irregularities add warmth and personality, giving text a human presence rather than a polished, clinical tone.

The design appears intended to blend old-style serif warmth with a deliberately imperfect printed texture, delivering a familiar literary tone with added character. It prioritizes a strong, traditional silhouette while introducing subtle roughness to suggest authenticity and materiality.

The texture is most noticeable along outer curves and serif tips, where edges appear lightly distressed rather than mechanically perfect. The rhythm in text is lively due to subtle width differences and calligraphic contrast, which adds character at display sizes while still supporting longer lines.
