A high-contrast serif with thick, weighty main strokes and hairline joins and serifs that create sharp, sculpted silhouettes. Serifs are finely tapered and largely bracketed, giving stems a carved, slightly calligraphic feel rather than a purely mechanical construction. Capitals are broad and steady with crisp terminals; curves (C, G, O, Q) show pronounced thick–thin modulation, and the Q has a long, sweeping tail. Lowercase combines compact bowls with energetic details, including a single-storey a with a teardrop-like ear, a looped g with a prominent ear, and ball-like terminals on letters such as f, j, and y. Figures are similarly contrasty and display-oriented, with sturdy verticals and delicate hairline finishing strokes.

Best suited to display settings such as headlines, magazine typography, pull quotes, book covers, and brand wordmarks where the high contrast and crisp serifs can be appreciated. It can also work for short-form editorial text when set at comfortable sizes with adequate spacing to preserve the fine details.

The overall tone is classic and editorial, with a confident, high-drama presence that reads as refined and authoritative. Its sharp contrasts and sculpted terminals add a slightly theatrical, fashion-forward edge while still feeling rooted in traditional book and magazine typography.

The design appears intended to deliver a traditional serif voice with heightened contrast and refined detailing, balancing classical proportions with expressive terminals for strong presence in editorial and branding applications.

In the text sample, the strong black shapes and narrow hairlines produce a lively texture and pronounced rhythm, especially at larger sizes. The design’s delicate hairlines and intricate terminals are visually prominent, suggesting it benefits from generous sizing and careful reproduction in demanding print or screen contexts.
