A high-contrast serif with pronounced thick-to-thin modulation and a strongly vertical stress. Stems are weighty and sculpted, while serifs and connecting strokes taper to fine hairlines, creating crisp, pointed terminals and a slightly chiseled silhouette. Letterforms show a traditional serif construction with narrow joins and compact interior spaces; curves are taut rather than soft, and diagonals (as in V, W, X, and Y) have a distinctive wedge-like rhythm. Numerals follow the same calligraphic contrast, with elegant, thin entry/exit strokes that read best when given room at display sizes.

Well suited to display typography such as magazine headlines, pull quotes, posters, and book-cover titling where the strong contrast and sharp serifs can shine. It can also work for branding or packaging that aims for a classic, high-end voice, especially when used in short text or larger point sizes.

The overall tone is assertive and refined, with a dramatic, old-world elegance. Its sharp hairlines and bold main strokes give it a theatrical, headline-ready presence that feels classic and authoritative rather than casual.

The font appears designed to deliver a traditional serif authority with heightened contrast for impact, balancing classical proportions with crisp hairlines and sculpted terminals to create a striking, print-forward display texture.

The design’s strong contrast creates bright highlights and deep blacks, so spacing and size matter: at smaller sizes the hairlines and tight apertures can visually diminish, while at larger sizes the crisp terminals and vertical rhythm become a defining feature.
