A high-contrast serif with clear calligraphic stress and bracketed, hairline serifs. Strokes transition sharply from thick verticals to thin horizontals, with crisp joins and tapered terminals that stay controlled rather than flamboyant. Capitals feel measured and slightly narrow with sharp apexes (notably in A and V) and elegant curves in round forms, while the lowercase shows a traditional text rhythm with a two-storey a and g, a compact ear on g, and a distinctly descending, looped y. Numerals follow the same contrast and refinement, with open counters and a legible, old-style-influenced feel in their curves.

Well-suited to long-form book typography, magazine layouts, and editorial design where a classic serif texture is desired. It also works effectively for formal invitations, institutional branding, and display headlines that benefit from crisp contrast and refined details.

The overall tone is traditional and bookish, conveying authority and polish. Its sharp contrast and fine serifs introduce a formal, cultured voice suited to established editorial aesthetics rather than casual or utilitarian settings.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional, literature-oriented serif voice with elevated contrast and carefully finished terminals. It balances elegance and readability, aiming for a familiar, authoritative texture that performs in both headline and text settings.

In the text sample, the face maintains strong word-shape clarity and a steady vertical rhythm, with thin serifs and hairlines staying prominent at display sizes. Curved letters (C, G, O, Q) show smooth, even modulation, and the Q’s tail is elegant and slightly extended, adding a touch of sophistication.
